What is sex tourism? Disturbingly, sex tourism, is exactly how it sounds. People are traveling from all over the world to purchase sex acts. Often times sex acts of children are highly sought after. “Americans account for the largest group of foreign “tourists” in southeast Asia.” Global government are trying to stop the influx of foreigners traveling to these Southeast Asian countries for sex tourism. However, corrupt officials in these countries are finding ways to allow this influx to continue and encourage people to continue to travel for the purchase of sex acts. (Cotter).
